What We Do
EMCORE's TACNAV® tactical inertial navigation systems deliver proven performance on the world's battlefields. Our expertise in assured positioning, navigation and timing (A-PNT) is built on over two decades of experience developing, manufacturing, and installing more than 22,000 TACNAV systems on combat, command, and support vehicles of all types. EMCORE is also a leader in the design and manufacture of the world’s highest-performance Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG), Ring Laser Gyro (RLG), and MEMS inertial sensors and systems for Aerospace & Defense. Our RLG-based battlefield artillery/radar positioning, pointing, and survey systems are deployed on key programs including the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), EMCORE’s combat-proven precision products for the battlefield deliver mission-critical information such as survey, pointing and position to our soldiers for precise, indirect mass fires and counter-fire operations.
